BabelMe Terms of Use
Last updated May 31, 2026
BabelMe uses the Apple Standard End User License Agreement for App Store distribution, with the additional safety rules below for BabelMe accounts, Messages, Contacts, Party Room, Broadcast, Dictation, and other user-created content.
Apple Standard EULA
Your use of the BabelMe iOS app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
No Tolerance For Abuse
BabelMe has no tolerance for objectionable content, harassment, threats, hateful conduct, spam, scams, impersonation, sexual exploitation, or abusive users. Do not use BabelMe to create, send, translate, broadcast, store, or share content that violates these rules.
Filtering, Reporting, And Blocking
- BabelMe may filter or block messages and other user-created content before it is sent.
- Users can report objectionable content or abusive users from the app.
- Users can block abusive users. Blocking removes the blocked user from the user's feed immediately and prevents further contact where BabelMe controls the connection.
- BabelMe reviews objectionable-content and abuse reports within 24 hours and may remove content, suspend access, eject abusive users, or delete accounts that violate these Terms.
Contacts And Friend Discovery
Contact discovery is optional. If you choose to find phone contacts, BabelMe reads contact emails and phone numbers on your device, hashes them on your device, and sends only those hashes to BabelMe's server to find existing BabelMe users. Raw contact names, emails, and phone numbers are not uploaded or stored by BabelMe.
